Park Place by Highlands · 55+ Active Adult Community
2 Bedroom Apartments in Lawrenceville, GA
Two-bedroom, two-bath floor plans with the bedrooms at opposite ends, a full-size washer and dryer, and walk-in closets, in a 55+ active adult community two blocks from the Lawrenceville square.
What a two-bedroom here is actually like
The two-bedroom plans put the bedrooms at opposite ends of the apartment with the living space between them. Guests get a wall, a door and their own bathroom, which is the difference between visitors being a pleasure and visitors being a project.
The second bedroom is rarely about sleeping. It is the office, the sewing room, the room the grandchildren stay in at Thanksgiving, or simply the room that holds the furniture you are not willing to sell.
Same finishes as everywhere else here: quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, a kitchen island, and a front-loading washer and dryer in the home. Most homes have a private balcony.
The 2 bedroom floor plans
Barton
2 Bed · 2 Bath · 958 sq ft
The compact two-bedroom. A second bedroom and a second full bath without paying for square footage you would not use. There is only one Barton in the community.
Pemberley
2 Bed · 2 Bath · 1,125, 1,181 and 1,243 sq ft
The larger plan, and the one most people pick. Both bedrooms take a queen with room left over, and one of the two bathrooms has a tub rather than a shower.
Mansfield
2 Bed · 2 Bath · 1,481 sq ft
The largest two-bedroom. 1,481 square feet, with the bedrooms at opposite ends and a balcony off the living area.

Why a two-bedroom, and why a rental
The second room earns its keep
Office, guest room, sewing room, or the place the furniture you would not part with finally fits. Most residents use it every week and sleep someone in it a few times a year.
Two full baths
Guests get their own, and so do you. With the bedrooms at opposite ends of the apartment, a house guest is not walking past your door at six in the morning.
No entrance fee, no buy-in
You lease an apartment the way you would anywhere else. Nothing is bought into, so nothing has to be sold if life changes.
Room to have people over
The living, dining and kitchen space runs together, so a table of eight is a rearrangement rather than an impossibility.
Where you would be living
Park Place by Highlands is at 77 E. Pike Street, two blocks from the square in downtown Lawrenceville. Walking paths connect to Rhodes Jordan Park and Downtown Lawrenceville, so the restaurants, the courthouse lawn and the park trails are a walk rather than a drive.
Rhodes Jordan Park is next door, with its aquatic centre, pickleball courts and trails. For anything beyond walking distance, residents use Gwinnett County Microtransit.
